Be Vegan For A Month

  • Hi there,

    Welcome, welcome to the Vegucated Challenge! We’re really glad you found us and that you’ve made up your mind to take the vegan plunge. Woo-hoo! Give yourself a big pat on the back. Just like Ellen, Brian, and Tesla in our film, you’ve made a decision that will have a positive impact on your health, animal welfare and the environment.

    Now that you’re on board, let’s get sailing. Over the next 30 days, we’ll be at the helm, hoping to steer you through a smooth and happy month. It might be a bit rough at first, as your body adjusts to the new diet, but by trying out a huge variety of new, healthy foods and getting to know this new lifestyle, we know you’ll walk away feeling fantastic!

    The very first thing we need from you: cut “give up,” “gave up” and “can’t have” from your daily jargon. We won’t be using those anymore. Instead, we’ll be talking about all the things we get to have as you’re introduced to the wonderful world of veganism–all of the things you’re gaining. The more positivity you embrace, the more enthusiastic you’ll feel and the more likely you’ll be to succeed in this challenge.

    Over the course of this month, you’ll get meal ideas, daily guidance, and tips for beating the cravings. Each day has an overall theme, but of course you are welcome to move faster than the pace we set here by clicking on future daily challenges. And if you fall off the wagon, just get back on course the next morning. Remember, every day is a chance to start over.

    We haven’t assigned specific recipes to each day because only you know what kind of food mood you’ll be in. But check the recipe index for a little inspiration, courtesy of many of our favorite vegan bloggers and cookbook authors.
